Overcome your Yeah, Buts to unlock your full potential
YEAH, BUT…Cut Through The Noise To Live, Learn And Lead Better by Marc A. Wolfe helps you acknowledge the YEAH, BUTs- the excuses – that have held you back from reaching your aspirations and unfulfilled potential. Marc offers his perspective as someone familiar with the ins and outs of the professional world. From starting a photography business at 16 to founding an executive coaching and consulting company that helps leaders build their businesses, he has seen enough to know what makes or breaks your chances of success. Marc noticed a common pattern in aspiring leaders that he wants you to avoid: letting YEAH, BUTs define you.
But Marc is not here to preach about himself. YEAH, BUT is all about you: helping you get unstuck, move forward with your goals, and perhaps even start new ventures you never thought possible. The plan is that this book will help you realize how your excuses are simply a flaw in your thinking. Marc provides a new perspective to allow you to recognize your YEAH, BUTs and, most importantly, reframe your thinking so you can overcome them. He offers practical advice on deciding and acting so that you know how to take action to remove the obstacles that stand in your way.
Marc identifies 15 YEAH, BUTs, dedicating a chapter to each, which can be divided into five groups: time-based, path-based, worry-based, demographic-based, and perspective-based. He emphasizes that these excuses are normal and that there is no shame in dealing with them. But you must be prepared to get past them. At the end of every chapter, he provides ‘But Busters’ and questions that you can fill out so you know what next steps to take.
A meaningful point Marc brings up is that we cannot control everything. We will feel fear about our futures. We cannot control everything that happens. But we can be prepared to tackle those fears. We can deal with them through ‘But Busting’- getting rid of our excuses- and imagine how the people in our lives can benefit from all the accomplishments we dream of and actually act on making happen.

About Marc
Few people can claim to have been kicked out of public school for being “too helpful,” but that’s what happened to Marc Wolfe in fourth grade. Ever since that bizarre but pivotal moment, he’s known that his life’s purpose is to empower others to unlock their potential.
From starting his own photography business at 16 (taking pictures of US Presidents, NFL teams, and other celebrities) through earning a marketing degree while running two businesses (one of which supported and sold early Apple products) to his 25- plus years of working with major companies as an innovation and strategy consultant, Marc’s journey has always been guided by principles of service, sharing, and showing people the power they possess.
An International Coaching Federation-certified coach, Marc’s continuing mission is to inspire and uplift leaders and audiences through stories, wisdom, and sound advice. He has written articles on leadership for Forbes.com, served as an Inc. 5000 mentor, been hired to work with global companies, and built a reputation for turning conversations into outcomes.
Originally from New Jersey, Marc now lives near Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife and family. YEAH, BUT is his first book and draws on his wealth of experience in listening, seeing, and helping his many accomplished clients.
